Bio:

Jack Background
The product of generations of eugenics, bolstered by minor cybernetic enhancements, a few small psychic abilities, and the lessons of secret masters. At least those are the rumors. Hell, she doesn’t care as long as the job gets done and she gets paid.

Character Background
Meg finds things. She either gets paid by those who hire her or they try to eat her. You wouldn’t believe how often that second one happens. What’s a thief to do?

Mother died early in her life. Father unknown. Grew up alone on streets of Qi.
Meg was caught by Jin Ven Bes while attempting to pick his pocket on the street while she was only 8 years old. He saw her potential and trained her as his apprentice. Jin Ven Bes was a finder. People would pay him for assuming all the risk in acquiring numenera.

He was extremely fascinated with the Amber Monolith and Calaval- the Amber Pope and told her stories of his adventures. He would often say to her, “In another life I could have been just like Calaval, but in this one I love money.”

Meg still misses him. He’s not dead, or at least she hopes not. You see he vanished while they were exploring some ruins near Dymath Fordye. Which they found from a map hidden away in an old book thought to be written by Calaval himself.
Jin stepped on something on the floor and there was a bright light and loud crack.

Next thing she knew he was gone. That was 10 years ago. Now anytime she comes across anything related to Calaval she’s secretly wishing for something to return her mentor and only family. She has also kept the disappearance of Jin a secret. Throughout the years, people got used to dealing with her so they don’t question her when she tells them Jin is not available for a face to face.

Jack Connection
You have a friend (Jin Ven Bes) with an extensive library, plenty of food and drink, and a comfortable home—(located in Qi) and the door is always open to you. His house is watched over by his Varjellen friend and fellow explorer Pholil.

Starting Adventure Link
Meg was secretly hired to insinuate herself into the party.

Connection to Party
Pick one other PC. The character knew you beforehand and convinced you to leave your life of crime for other pursuits—at least temporarily. Or so they think.
